Bamboo Root Duck Sculpture

Carved directly from the dense, twisted base of a bamboo plant, this standing duck takes its posture and character from the root itself. No two are shaped from the same template: the natural curves of the material determine the stance, the tilt of the neck, the weight of the feet. Stands at around 45cm and holds its own on a floor, a step, or beside a plant. Each piece is unique to its root.
